Accredited Hospices of America in Katy, Texas, provides the following levels of care in order to meet the needs of patients. These levels include:
Care given within the comfort and security of your home, assisted living facility, or skilled nursing facility. A hospice nurse works with a patient’s primary physician to bring the appropriate hospice services to your home. Members of a hospice team will work with caregivers to help them become comfortable when performing routine care activities.
Respite care provides caregivers with short-term relief from the day-to-day care they provide for the patients at the home. This type of short-term care usually occurs at a skilled nursing facility for up to five days in a row.
