Accredited Hospices of America in Katy, Texas, provides quality care through an interdisciplinary team made up of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, hospice aides, social workers, and chaplains. The combined expertise in these disciplines allows Accredited Hospices of America to provide quality care to each of our patients.
Expertise and Experience
Our Medical Directors have knowledge and experience in the areas of hospice care, symptom control and pain management. Our Medical Directors watch over the interdisciplinary team and collaborate with the attending physician to make sure each patient remains comfortable and experiences an excellent quality of life while under hospice care.
Our Hospice Nurse Practitioners and Hospice Nurses have years of experience working in the nursing field, as well as significant experience as hospice nurses. This has equipped them with the skills to efficiently monitor pain management and manage other symptoms that patients often experience. Nursing care is provided with guidance of the patient’s attending physician or the Hospice Medical Director, who is regularly informed about the patient’s condition.
The Certified Nursing Aides at Accredited Hospices of America provide personal care to every patient. Some of the work they perform includes bathing, grooming, dressing and feeding patients as needed.
Our licensed, masters-level Social Workers have vast knowledge of local resources, counselors and patient advocacy. They work closely with patients and their families to provide them with various contacts, including family counselors to resource referrals.
Our Chaplains give patients and their families spiritual support. They also work closely with those they serve to help address spiritual concerns that impact quality of life for the entire family unit.
