Individual will need a current nursing license for the State of Texas. Applicants will develop a care plan, assess patients and family, and provide the care that was planned. Hospice experience and Bilingual skills are preferred.

Chaplains make spiritual assessments of patients. They consider a variety of stresses and respond with appropriate care and counseling.

A certified nursing assistant (CNA) provide care for patients involving:

• Providing food and water.
• Assisting in travel to and from rooms.
• Utilizing resources to provide comfort.

Applicants should enjoy working with patients, and helping others.

LCSWs act as advocates and help clients gain access to resources while confronting their personal issues, such as mental illness, addiction, and abuse.

Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

The Community Liaison must have experience working in a marketing and/or business development capacity within the hospice/hospital/medical community. Sale/Marketing experience is preferred.

Additionally, the ideal individual will be personable and outgoing and will be responsible for opening doors throughout the territory to referral sources and other types of providers. This individual will also serve as an educational resource to the community and patient family members regarding hospice care.

Direct Patient Volunteers for Katy Hospices will help patients by:

• Reading, listening to music and playing games.
• Listening to a patient’s concerns.
• Providing breaks to family caregivers.
• Serving as an interpreter.
• Running errands or providing transportation for patients.

Office Volunteers help by:

• Assisting office staff with various tasks.
• Data entry/filing.
